Land Rover will get into smartphone business by "Land Rover Explore"
Who doesn't know Land Rover?? The car manufacturer which produces some really amazing cars. Now they want to get their hands in the smartphone business by introducing a new rugged modular smartphone - The Land Rover Explore.
The smartphone is being built by Bullitt, the company which produces the sturdy CAT phones. It is targeted for people who enjoy camping and hiking in the outdoors. What makes it stand out from the ruggedized smartphone market is the added modularity function.
The most notable among all the modules is the Adventure Pack, which adds a powerful GPS antenna, extra battery juice and an AR viewfinder for navigating in the wilderness.
Other specs are not announced yet but it is expected that the phone could come at a price of£599. US pricing has not been mentioned yet.
