Apple posted record sales figure in US this holiday season, iPhoneX stealing the show
Apple sold a record 22.39 million smarthphones in the US in the holiday season last year, increasing its market share from 37% to 44%- the highest ever for apple on their home turf.
Since its launch on November 3, iPhoneX has sold 8 million units so far.
According to a report published by Counterpoint Research's "Market Pulse Program, 51.2 million smartphones were sold during the holiday season quarter of 2017". Going by the reports Apple was able to grow their sell through 20% in a market that only grew 2% as compared to last year. This means Apple has been successful to take away share from Samsung's premium segment. But there are reports that tell about the poor performance of Apple on a global scale where higher prices resulted in lower sales.
