Have you ever heard of a phone with 10GB of Ram??
Looks like Vivo has taken its mocking too seriously. Vivo has been continuosly mocked for its insane advertisements and high prices. Going by the rumors it looks like Vivo is working on something really amazing. As per reports, it is said that Vivo is going to have top of the line specs including Snapdragon 845, 4K resolution display, 512GB of internal storage and an unbelievabe 10Gigs of Ram.
Is 10GB required??
Going by app standards, I feel there is no requirement even of a 6 GB Ram in a smartphone. The way phone technologies have changed, app requirements have always been modest. There is no application in the maeket which can really push flagships like OnePlus 5T or IphoneX to its limits.
Maybe there is some chance...
With the advent of machine learning,AR and VR, it is possible that they may bite chunks out of the phone's capacity. But then one can say that integration of software and hardware may lead to a better experience overall. Apple's Iphones are the greatest examples. They rely on integration of software and hardware for great performance and no one can argue that.
The Problem....
The main problem with companies like Vivo is they like to put icing on th cake by adding there very own flavor of UI. The try to take things differently and add bunch of unwanted animations and features which readily reduces the system's performance. The same holds true for Samsung also whose UI leads to frequent crashes and laggs even on flagships. If companies try to approach the stock way, maybe the scenarios could change in the Android ecosystem.
